Year 10 students have been showcasing their creativity and design skills by creating detailed architectural models as part of their sustainable house design project.
Throughout the semester students have researched sustainability in architecture and developed their understanding of architectural conventions, culminating the creation of a scale model of their design. The project challenged students to develop original building concepts and transform their ideas into three-dimensional scale models.
Throughout the process, students explored architectural principles such as form, function, sustainability, materials and spatial planning. Using a range of materials and construction techniques, they carefully crafted models that demonstrated their technical skills and innovative thinking.
The completed projects highlight the students' ability to solve design challenges while considering the aesthetic value of their finished model. This hands-on experience has provided valuable insight into the world of architecture and design, encouraging students to think critically, and develop practical problem-solving skills.
