Ponytail Project

Mount Alvernia College will host the Ponytail Project event next week on Tuesday 21 July.

48 students and staff have registered to 'rock the chop' by donating their hair. 

Excitingly, we have reached our fundraising goal of $25,000 however, you can still donate and make a difference.

Every year an estimated 4,000 ponytails are needed just to make enough charitable wigs for those suffering from cancer or alopecia. One wig requires 20 ponytails and can cost thousands of dollars. 

By participating in the Ponytail Project, students and staff are not only donating their hair to make wigs, but also raising money for the Cancer Council and people living with cancer.
