Athletics Carnival Success!

Thank you to everyone whose dedication and enthusiasm made our House Athletics Carnival such a triumph!

Congratulations to Griffin House on their outstanding back-to-back victory! This remarkable achievement reflects the exceptional spirit, dedication, and teamwork demonstrated by all Griffin students and staff.

We also send out our heartfelt appreciation to all staff members for their assistance wherever needed, often without prompting, exemplifies the supportive community we cherish.

Senior AFL Football – 1st Win in many years

Senior AFL Boys Football was an exhilarating experience on Tuesday 6 May. The three games were rough and went down to the wire. 

In the last game, our team played against Gleneagles Secondary College and in an excellent game with many great performances, Nossal was able to get their first win in many years. Some say that first win since 2012. 

Whilst we did not progress to region, the last win was vindication of how our team-work dynamics.

I recommend other students to partake in sports such as AFL; it’s a fun way to socialise and have a good time. A big thank you to our coaches, Mr Baxter and Mr Pritchard, for the great day.

Inter-school AFL competition

On Monday 12 May Nossal High School students competed in the inter-school AFL competition. Everyone played with heart, and each person contributed to the team's effort. 

Although the scoreboard wasn’t in our favour this time, the spirit and fight were definitely there.

Game 1:

Berwick College – 18.3.117

Nossal High School – 0.1.1

Game 2:

Hallam Secondary College – 13.5.83

Nossal High School – 4.1.27

Special shoutouts to our top players: Zander, Dev Gupta, Ayaan, Dhira, and Shail for their outstanding efforts! 

Thank you to everyone who participated — your effort mattered. Let’s take this energy into the upcoming sports competitions and aim for those wins! 

Make sure to try out for other sports too — it’s fun, a great way to be active, and you can earn Medallion points!
