Last week we had a wonderful time welcoming our new Foundation students for 2027 to St Patrick’s for their very first Little Paddy’s session! The children enjoyed a lovely morning getting to know one another, completing a fun activity in the classroom and having their very first play together on the playground. It was fantastic to see so many happy faces as the children began to familiarise themselves with their new school environment.
Throughout Term 4, our Little Paddy’s students will have the opportunity to visit St Pat’s every Friday morning, helping them build friendships, develop confidence and become familiar with school routines before their exciting transition to Foundation next year. We can’t wait to watch these little learners grow, settle in and feel at home as part of our St Pat’s community. We look forward to sharing many more fun mornings together!

Students are invited to participate in the Kyabram International Day of People with Disability Colouring Competition! This competition celebrates the importance of creating an inclusive, diverse and welcoming community where everyone feels valued, respected and included.
Children are encouraged to use their creativity to show what inclusion means to them and what a community where everyone belongs might look like.
Entries are due the front office by Wednesday 11 November 2026. Please ensure your child’s full name, school and age are completed on the back of their artwork. As artwork may not be returned, families are encouraged to take a photo before submitting their entry.
We look forward to seeing our students’ wonderful creativity as they help celebrate a community where everyone belongs!
As we settle back into school for Term 4, we encourage all families to continue making home reading a regular part of their routine. Just a little reading each day can make a big difference in developing your child’s confidence, fluency and love of reading. Every book shared and every page read helps our young learners grow!
Remember, teachers are available at school every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8.30 am to 9.00 am to listen to students read. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to practise their reading and receive extra support.
Please also remember to record all home reading in your child’s reader diary. Every night of reading counts towards their next Reading Certificate, which is proudly presented at our fortnightly whole-school assemblies. Let’s keep up the great work and finish the year strong! Every little bit of reading helps!
