School Bands Extravaganza

In the last week of Term 2 Whizbang joined forces with Phoenix College’s Phoenix Phunk to stage a collab show at Ballarat’s Trades Hall. The bands played separate sets and then combined to perform songs they had prepared at a previous workshop performing world premieres of their music at this historic venue, the second oldest trades hall in the world.

The show was also the final public, school performance of BJ Humphrey who has been an integral part of both music departments over the years before he heads overseas. We wish him all the best on his adventure.

Whizbang will next take to the stage at the Lions Club of Sebastopol’s School Bands Extravaganza in the Gay Gough Theatre, Mt Clear College on Wednesday 6th August in support of the Ballarat Day Oncology Unit. Other bands appearing on the night will be the 78's from Mt Clear College and the Senior Concert Band from Phoenix P-12 Community College.
