A Message from the
Acting Principal
Mr Steven Belcastro
Risen Christ,
you prepare a place for us,
in the home of the Mother-and-Father of us all.
Draw us more deeply into yourself,
through scripture read,
water splashed,
bread broken,
wine poured,
so that when our hearts are troubled,
we will know you more completely
as the way, the truth, and the life.
Amen.
Welcome back to Term 2! As always, the term ahead promises to be a busy one – just what we need as the cooler weather begins to set in. I hope all families enjoyed a restful holiday and had the chance to recharge for the term ahead.
The term began with us celebrating Easter as a school community. Thank you to Mrs Ronzini and the Mini-Vinnies for organising our Easter prayer service on Monday. It was a wonderful reminder of what a joyful time Easter is for us all. Jesus, who died on the cross is now alive. We celebrate his Risen Life; his New Life.
On Friday, the P&F organised an Easter Egg Hunt for the students to participate in. Thank you to all those involved in the organisation and running of this event and for organising an Easter Egg for each student in the school.

On Tuesday we commemorated ANZAC Day with a prayer service. We were reminded of how this special day is a time to remember and honour the service and sacrifice of Australia’s servicemen and women in World War One and in all other wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. We remember them, as they offered their bodies, minds, hearts and spirits in fighting for a better world.

In the last week of Term 1, our new Family Educator, Ana Seric commenced at St. Martha's. Ana has been a part of the St. Martha's community for many years as a parent and parishoner and is excited to have started her new role. Please take some time to read her page of the newsletter as many initiatives will be starting from next week.
From Monday, everyone must wear their Winter uniform.
Please see the details below in regards to the requirements needed for full school winter uniform. We appreciate your support in making sure the students come to school each day wearing their school uniform with pride.

Please make sure that all of your child’s items of clothing are clearly labelled with their name, particularly jackets, jumpers and hats!
When it comes to safety on the road, our children look to our example. Please consistently show your children how to be safe by following basic road safety rules. Some of the things we see on the road outside the school are startling and could easily end in disaster. Your minute that you are trying to save, could cause a lifetime of regret. Cross at the crossing, don't do U turns over double white lines and look before you pull out from the kerb. These small things will help keep everyone safe.
If you know anyone who has a child wanting to enrol for 2027, please let them know that the process is well underway and they need to get their applications in as soon as possible.
