Year 10 students recently attended the annual Careers Day Out exhibition in Shepparton. This valuable event provided students with the opportunity to explore future pathways and gain insight into the wide range of career and study options available after secondary school.

Throughout the day, students engaged with representatives from universities, TAFEs, apprenticeship providers, local businesses, and industry organisations. They explored courses, training opportunities, and employment trends across a variety of industries, helping them broaden their understanding of the many possibilities available to them beyond school.

Students enthusiastically participated in a range of interactive displays and hands-on activities, with some brave students even trying their hand at cleaning a dirty toilet as part of an industry demonstration! These engaging experiences gave students a practical glimpse into different careers and the skills required in various fields.

The excursion strongly supported our commitment to helping students make informed decisions about their future pathways, encouraging them to think confidently and positively about the opportunities ahead.

Tertiary Information Session

Our Year 12 VCE students recently attended the Tertiary Information Session (TIS), an important opportunity to support students as they begin planning for life beyond secondary school.

The session provides valuable information about university entry requirements, application processes, pathways into further education, and the range of support services available to students transitioning into tertiary study. Throughout the session, students are encouraged to ask questions, explore different study options, and gain a clearer understanding of what to expect in the next stage of their educational journey.

Experiences such as these are an important part of helping our students feel informed, confident, and prepared as they consider their future education and career pathways. We are proud to continue supporting our students in making thoughtful and informed decisions about the opportunities ahead.

Year 10 LaTrobe Uni visit

La Trobe University visited our Year 10 students this week to deliver their “Careers Conversations” workshop. Students gained valuable insight into what university life can look like, along with the many different pathways available for those who may not meet initial entry requirements.

Current LaTrobe students, Dilly and Abbey, shared their personal journeys into their degrees and spoke about their experiences at university

Thanks Rikke, Abbey and Dilly for sharing your time, experiences and insight with our students.
