FA	Lachie Edwards	Curiosity	Congratulations to Lachie, who has returned to Term 2 with a fantastic sense of curiosity about his learning! Lachie has been eager to ask questions, explore new ideas, and try new activities with enthusiasm. It has been amazing to see him engaging so positively in the classroom and showing a growing love of learning.
1A	Wynter Prideaux	Kindness	Wynter consistently shows kindness and care towards others in the classroom. He shows a willingness to share his ideas or work with others and celebrate his wins with the class. Wynter’s kindness makes our classroom a happier and more welcoming place. 1A	Christian Wilson-Haynes	Perserverance	Christian shows outstanding perseverance in all areas of his learning. He keeps trying, even when tasks are challenging and gives everything a go. With a positive attitude, he learns from his mistakes and continues to improve each day. Christian’s determination and effort make him a wonderful role model for others.
1B	Hamza Al-Majzoub Magwaza	Kindness	Hamza consistently supports those around him, quietly stepping in to help classmates and teachers whenever needed. He shows genuine care through his actions and never seeks recognition for the difference he makes. His thoughtful and selfless approach helps create a positive and supportive classroom environment. Thank you, Hamza!
1B	Henrik Marshall	Bravery	Henrik has been challenging himself each day, stepping outside of his comfort zone and approaching new situations with a positive and resilient mindset. I am so proud of the way he has come into the classroom ready to learn, showing confidence and a willingness to give things a go. Keep up the amazing effort Henrik—you should be very proud of yourself!
1C	Ella Niu	Love of Learning	Ella is being recognised for her hard work and consistent effort. She is a quiet achiever who approaches her learning with focus and determination, always trying her best. Ella’s positive attitude and dedication are wonderful to see. 2B	Leif Whitmore	Aspiration	Congratulations to Leif for consistently displaying Aspiration in 2B. He approaches all learning tasks with a positive attitude, always striving to do his best and actively participating in class activities. His enthusiasm for learning is commendable and sets a wonderful example for others. He also shows aspiration by embracing challenges and persisting even when learning feels difficult, demonstrating a strong commitment to growth. Keep up the fantastic work Leif!
2C	Patrick O'Hare	Love of Learning	Patrick approaches his learning with a positive attitude and willingness to do his best. He brings enthusiasm to his work and strives to improve each day. Patrick is a wonderful role model in our classroom, demonstrating kindness and responsibility. Keep up the brilliant work, Patrick!
3A	Carter Dudink	Love of Learning	Carter has displayed excellent enthusiasm, effort, and determination during our swimming sessions over the past two weeks. He consistently strives to do his best in each activity and is showing growing confidence in his swimming strokes. Great work Carter, keep it up!
3A	Ava Cain	Perserverance	Ava has been coming to class with growing confidence and a positive attitude. She is making a consistent effort to actively engage in class discussions and complete her work during lessons. It has been wonderful to see her progress in confidence and engagement, and I look forward to watching her continue to grow in 3A. Great work Ava, keep it up!
3B	Tobi Williams	Bravery	Well done to Tobi for showing quiet courage and determination in presenting his news report. He demonstrated excellent research skills and creativity through his poster on Guy Fawkes celebrations. It was pleasing to see him step outside his comfort zone and approach the task with commitment and growing confidence.
3B	Alice Bourke	Leadership	Alice is a fantastic role model who consistently demonstrates focus, enthusiasm, and dedication in her learning. Around the classroom, she is proactive and always willing to help others. Her positive attitude and approachable nature make her a valued member of our class community. Congratulations, Alice, for your inspiring attitude and outstanding qualities.
3C	Thevgan Kumaran	Love of Learning	Thevgan displayed excellent effort and determination during our swimming sessions this week, giving his best in each activity and showing confidence in his survival skills. Great work, Thevgan
4A	Isla Baker	Organisation	Isla has shown excellent organisation and responsibility during our daily school swimming sessions over the past fortnight. She consistently arrived prepared, followed routines carefully, and maintained an orderly system for her belongings. Isla’s organised approach helped sessions run smoothly and set a strong example for others.
4A	Jackson Skehan	Love of Learning	Jackson’s outstanding effort during our year 3/4 swimming program over the past two weeks is to be commended. He is a super fish in the water, showing strong skill and confidence in all activities. Jackson consistently listened carefully to instructions and remained focused throughout each session. His positive attitude and commitment to learning have been fantastic to see.
4B	Fox Parkinson	Love of Learning	Well done Fox on persevering during Literacy fluency sessions. You are working hard to ensure that your reading expression and rate are constantly improving. You are becoming an engaging reader who is entertaining to listen to. Keep up the great work!
4C	Evie Cooper	Leadership	Evie has demonstrated excellent organisation and teamwork throughout her school swimming program. She consistently arrives well-prepared with her swimming bag, gets ready promptly, and shows a positive attitude in group activities. Evie also listens carefully and shows great respect toward her swimming teacher, making her a wonderful role model for her peers.
5/6B	Mia Thalas & Jonah Carrabot		Mia displayed fabulous leadership qualities when assisting the Foundation team with kinder visits! She displayed kindness and was a very positive role model for the younger students. Her help was greatly appreciated and valued. /////
5/6C	Austin White	Leadership	Austin has demonstrated strong leadership and dedication in his role as Buddy Captain. He has been a constant support to his Foundation buddy, showing care and initiative. Austin was also a wonderful representative of the school while assisting with the Kinder visit, approaching the experience with a positive attitude and a willingness to help. Well done, Austin!
5/6C	Harlan Bourke	Love of Learning	Harlan has approached his learning with growing dedication and focus. He asks clarifying questions to deepen his understanding and is now completing his work in a timely manner, demonstrating great improvement. Harlan’s effort and commitment have been wonderful to see. Well done, Harlan!
5/6D	Ivy Bull	Love of Learning	I’ve been really impressed with the positive attitude Ivy has shown at the start of Term 2. She has consistently contributed well to class discussions, particularly during our literacy sessions, where her responses are detailed and improve her classmates’ understanding. Keep up the great effort and positive involvement.
5/6D	Jamie Erasmus	Love of Learning	Jamie has shown enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards his learning, particularly in our STEM sessions. He worked well with his team to code his ‘Spike’ robot and stayed focused on achieving his team’s goal. It was also great to see him step up and help his own team, and others, at the end of the session during the hectic pack up. Jamie should feel proud of the effort he’s putting in.
5/6E	Allie Howard	Leadership	Allie has stepped into her role as a Student Action Team Leader with pride and dedication. This has been seen by her both speaking at assembly, including the ANZAC Day Ceremony, and helping to organise fundraising initiatives. Allie can be relied upon to be a role model for all at Black Rock Primary School.
5/6E	Joe Hou	Kindness	Joe is always ready to help when needed and can be relied upon to complete any job responsibly and accurately. He will give up his own lunch times to help with a task and his dedication to this makes everyone’s experience at Black Rock Primary School better. Thank you, Joe!

FB	Sophie Bourke	Love of Learning	Sophie has been doing a wonderful job reading her fluency text during our literacy block. She is recognising sounds, blending them together, and reading like a river, not like a robot! We are so proud of all your hard work, Sophie! Keep it up 😊
1A	Milly Brownlee	Kindness	Milly has been a fantastic part of our class, always treating others with kindness and respect. She works well with her classmates, happily sharing her ideas and supporting others in their learning. We are very proud of the care and enthusiasm she brings to everything she does!
1B	Miles Russell	Perserverance	Miles has shown incredible perseverance by putting in the extra effort to improve his literacy skills. He has worked hard to develop his reading and writing, taking on feedback, practising regularly, and challenging himself to achieve his best. His determination and positive attitude are inspiring. Well done, Miles!
1C	Ruby Rainsbury	Perserverance	Ruby is being recognised for demonstrating wonderful perseverance both in and out of the classroom. She continually pushes herself to do her best and shows great resilience when faced with challenges. Ruby’s incredible effort and commitment were clearly demonstrated through her amazing achievement of coming first in Cross Country. Well done, Ruby, for being our Student of the Week!
2A	Chloe Crowe	Perserverance	Chloe, makes excellent explanations of new vocabulary words and shares her understandings during class discussions.She consistently puts a great effort into all of her work. It was wonderful to see the way she followed the structure of a narrative in her writing. Chloe always shows perseverance and comes to class ready for learning each day. Keep up the fantastic work Chloe and keep on shining like a star!
3A	James Barglowski	Love of Learning	Billy has shown fantastic improvement in his focus and engagement since the beginning of the year. He consistently follows instructions promptly and is making a strong effort to complete all class tasks to the best of his ability. It has been wonderful to see his positive attitude towards learning and the growth he has made in the classroom. I am very proud of his efforts. Keep up the great work, Billy!

3B	Iylah Williams	Love of Learning	Iylah is demonstrating strong engagement and enthusiasm in her learning. She approaches classroom tasks with curiosity and confidence and contributes thoughtfully to class discussions. In Reading, she is developing her ability to make inferences about characters’ feelings and intentions and confidently makes meaningful text-to-self connections to deepen her understanding.
3C	Phoenix Bull	Creativity	Phoenix showed fantastic creativity when designing an animal with unique survival adaptations during our excursion to the Royal Botanic Gardens. He shared imaginative ideas and brought his design to life in a thoughtful and original way. Well done, Phoenix!
3C	Penelope Georgiadis	Love of Learning	Penelope is a great listener who always shows respect and focus during lessons. She is always helpful to others and consistently tries her best in everything she does. Keep up the fantastic work, Penelope!
4B	Nati Lopez Andrade	Love of Learning	Well done, Nati, on displaying your Love of Learning during Maths lessons this week. You consistently work hard to understand new multiplication strategies and confidently share your thinking with the class. Your positive attitude and willingness to challenge yourself are fantastic to see. Keep up the great work!
5/6B	Vivienne Jarnet & Arlen Erikson		Vivienne wrote a fabulous narrative in class this week. She created interesting sentences using appositives and subordinating conjunctions. Her vocabulary was varied and interesting. Keep up the fantastic work Viv! //// Arlen was an exemplary member of the Year 5 cohort at our Phillip Island camp. His teamwork skills really stood out, working well with others in all activities. Arlen also went out of his way to help teachers and fellow students whenever he could, not just for thanks or a reward, but because it was the right thing to do! Well done Arlen, you greatly appreciated.
5/6C	Adrina Tayefeh	Kindness	Adrina demonstrated outstanding kindness during our Year 5 camp to Phillip Island. She consistently encouraged others during activities, embraced opportunities to interact with people outside her friendship group and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Adrina’s caring nature and encouragement towards others did not go unnoticed. Well done, Adrina!
5/6C	Will Curtain	Perserverance	Will has demonstrated a growing ability to work through challenges both in and out of the classroom. He seeks feedback to support him when navigating difficult situations and thoughtfully takes this onboard to continue learning and improving. Will’s willingness to reflect and keep trying has been wonderful to see. Well done, Will!
5/6D	Geogria Holding	Aspiration	Georgia consistently gives 100% effort in everything she does and is a wonderful role model in our classroom. She approaches all learning tasks with a positive attitude and always tries her best, even when things are challenging. Georgia regularly demonstrates our school values through the way she learns, works with others, and supports those around her. Keep up the fantastic work, Georgia!
5/6E	Raf Panton	Kindness	Congratulations to Raf for showing kindness and responsibility to his buddy on the Melbourne Zoo Excursion. He looked after his Foundation buddy and helped navigated the zoo with his group. Raf was a standout to both students and staff on the day. Well done, Raf!
