Grade 3 Report

I’ve Won The Golden Ticket! 

This term, Grade 3 has been enjoying listening to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. After reading the exciting chapter where Charlie discovers the very last Golden Ticket, students had the chance to create their own chocolate bars and wrappers, imagining they were about to set off on an adventure to Willy Wonka's famous chocolate factory.

Throughout the novel, we have been exploring Roald Dahl’s clever use of language, including his playful vocabulary, creative descriptions and interesting characters. Students have enjoyed discussing how his word choices help make the story so funny, exciting and imaginative.

It has been wonderful to see the creativity and enthusiasm students have brought to our reading sessions as we continue our journey through Charlie’s chocolate-filled adventure!
