Hockey Success at NSW State Championships

Lucy Kimball, Sydney Pilkington and Phoebe Pilkington represented Hockey Albury Wodonga at the NSW Under 16 Girls State Hockey Championships in Newcastle. The team faced quality opposition from across Sydney and regional New South Wales, finishing at the top of their pool to earn a place in the Grand Final.

In a tightly contested championship match against Parkes, the Hockey Albury Wodonga Spitfires were narrowly defeated, finishing the tournament as NSW State runners-up and bringing home the silver medal. Congratulations to all three girls on an outstanding achievement.

Phoebe Pilkington also represented Hockey Albury Wodonga at the NSW Under 14 Girls State Hockey Championships in Parkes. In the bronze medal playoff, Phoebe scored the team's final goal to help secure a 3rd-place finish, capping off an impressive championship week.

Indi Prince - ACT Rugby Sevens Representative Honours

Congratulations also to Indi, who recently represented the ACT at a Rugby Sevens representative tournament.

Playing as one of only two centres in the squad, Indi received significant game time and impressed with her strong defensive efforts, powerful ball carries and work rate throughout the tournament. The ACT side finished fourth after the opening day of seeding, an outstanding achievement against strong opposition from Queensland and New South Wales. Indi thoroughly enjoyed the experience and gained valuable representative exposure. We look forward to seeing her continue to develop and wish her all the best as she aims to earn ACT selection again next year.

We look forward to Indi’s trial for the NSW CIS U18s team in 2027.

BISSA Athletics Championships

Trinity Anglican College students proudly represented the school at the 2026 BISSA Athletics Championships.

A special congratulations goes to Taylor Wright, who was named Runner-Up Age Champion in the Under 15 Boys division after an outstanding day of competition. Taylor's consistent performances across multiple events were a testament to his hard work and commitment throughout the athletics season.

As a team, Trinity finished 6th overall, with students producing many strong individual performances and proudly representing the College across both track and field events.

We congratulate all students who competed and thank our staff and supporters for their encouragement throughout the carnival.

Lunch Time Launch It – Golf NSW

Students across the school had the exciting opportunity to participate in our NSW Golf Day, with Golf NSW visiting our college to deliver a fun and engaging golf experience. A golf simulator was set up, giving students of all ages the chance to test their skills, challenge themselves, or have their very first introduction to the game of golf.

The day was led by Cade from Golf NSW, who provided expert guidance, encouragement, and coaching throughout each session. It was fantastic to see so many students enthusiastically getting involved, supporting one another, and developing new skills in a welcoming environment.

Adding to the excitement of the day was our Lunchtime Launch It Competition, where students competed to see who could hit the longest shot using a 7-iron. The competition ran throughout the school, with boys and girls from each year level recognised for recording the longest shot in their respective year levels.

The overall Boys' Launch It Champion was Joel Gatford, who produced an incredible 197m hit with a 7-iron. The Girls' Launch It Champion was Georgia Robertson, who's impressive 115m shot earned her top honours.

Well worth mentioning, Russell Parkin has reclaimed his title as the staff member with the longest drive with a 203m drive once again proving he dominance.

A big thank you to Golf NSW and Cade for bringing this experience to our college and inspiring students to give golf a go. Congratulations to all of our year-level winners and to every student who participated and helped make the day such a fun and memorable event.
