NAIDOC Week

On Wednesday, our College community came together to celebrate NAIDOC Week, recognising and honouring the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

A huge thank you to our student speakers, Sammi, Audrey and Claire, who shared thoughtful reflections, and to our special guest speaker, Tyra Murray, whose inspiring and moving address encouraged us all to reflect on the importance of connection, culture and community.

We were also privileged to enjoy a wonderful performance from the Dinawan's Connections Dance Troupe, whose traditional dance celebrated the richness of Aboriginal culture.

Our musical performances added to the celebration, with the Junior School Choir beautifully performing 'Taba Naba' and our Senior Music students delivering a brilliant rendition of 'My Island Home'.

Throughout lunchtime, students enjoyed a range of engaging cultural activities and the opportunity to sample traditional-inspired foods, creating meaningful opportunities to learn, connect and celebrate together.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make our NAIDOC Week celebrations such a special occasion. Together, we continue to learn from and celebrate the world's oldest continuing culture.
