The SLA AFL9 team played remarkably this season.  It was through their efforts and great teamwork that they won the 2026 Premiership for our district, were crowned 2026 Champions of the Darebin Division boys/mixed teams and made it all the way to the Northern Metropolitan Region Competition.  

Despite having injured players, and at one stage playing with only 8 players, the team kept their spirits high and showed the values of our wonderful St Joey's community. 

Unfortunately, our team was not successful during the Regionals Competition, but they are to be congratulated for making it this far and for their great team spirit.   

I wish the players all the best in their future sporting endeavours and I’m excited to see them push further and reach new heights in whatever field they choose.
