Tuesday, 9th December, is the Department of Education Transition day for  Government schools, Grade 6 current students in 2025, going into Year 7 in 2026.

All government secondary schools will host a Year 7 Orientation Day (for Year 6 students) on Tuesday, 9 December 2025.

Transition from Primary to Secondary School

• Wednesday 26 November, 7.30-9 pm online. As part of the ’16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence’, Maroondah City Council, along with City of Monash and Knox City Council are hosting ‘Respect Is: Supporting young people to build healthy relationships’ with a panel of experts including Rana Hussain, Jess Sanders, Lindsay Marchment and Angie Tsimaras, a graduate from FVREE’S Leaders for Change’ program. Do you have CSEF?

Applications are now open for Year 7 students who qualify for CSEF funding, for government schools

Where a uniform can’t be supplied directly, students receive a voucher – redeemable at the school uniform supplier – that subsidises the cost of their uniform.

Before the last day of primary school ....

• Download all school reports from Compass. Once the school year finishes for your student, the Administration staff start working on 2026. Families will lose all information ( including reports ) and access to Compass.
• Ensure all school property, including library books are returned. This could be a sports top etc.
