The Resilience Project- Inspire Family Hub
Supporting Wellbeing at Home Over the Holidays
As we head into the school holidays, it’s a wonderful opportunity to continue nurturing your child’s wellbeing at home. At school, we focus on the GEM principles—Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness—as well as building strong Emotional Literacy skills. These simple but powerful practices help children develop resilience, positive relationships and a strong sense of self.
Over the break, small, consistent moments can make a big difference. Encouraging your child to reflect on what they are grateful for, consider how others may be feeling, or take a few mindful moments each day can support their emotional wellbeing and help them return to school feeling calm and ready to learn.
To support families, the Inspire Family Hub offers a range of engaging and practical resources, including:
- A suite of digital content to help build wellbeing and resilience at home
- Simple routines and activities to develop positive wellbeing habits
- Easy-to-understand information about Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness and Emotional Literacy, and the benefits of practising these regularly
We encourage you to explore these resources with your child and find small ways to embed GEM principles into your everyday routines—whether it’s sharing something you’re grateful for at dinner, talking through emotions, or taking a quiet mindful moment together.
Wishing all our families a safe, relaxing and positive holiday break!
