Pink Stumps Day

We celebrated Pink Stumps Day yesterday on Wednesday 1 April.
Pink Stumps Day is a fun event where teachers play against Year 6 students in cricket to raise money for the McGrath Foundation. It brings the school together while supporting an important cause.
Aarin: On Wednesday, I played in the bowling team. It was really fun, and I felt inspired to take wickets. I also felt a bit of pressure as we played in front of the whole school. I believed in my teammates, and that’s why I had such a great time. It was also fun watching my friends play, as they managed to hit lots of balls. It was nice to cheer with my friends, and it was really exciting to play against the teachers.
Will L: I was on the batting team, and I was the fifth person to go. When I got out there, I was nervous but also excited at the same time. I tried my best, and I was the first out of my pair to bat. When the teacher bowled, I sadly missed, but I didn’t mind because I was having a go.
Amiya: I enjoyed being part of the Grade 6 cheerleading team because it was fun to pump up the crowd and encourage others to cheer.
Meghana: I love how the students were able to choose which part of Pink Stumps Day they wanted to be a part of. It was a lovely way to celebrate their final year of primary school and an opportunity to give back to the school.
