Pink Stumps Day
Pink Stumps Day was a fantastic success at our school, bringing the community together to raise funds for the incredible work of the McGrath Foundation. Students proudly wore pink, and the much-anticipated cricket match between our Year 6 students and teachers was a highlight of the day!
The Parents & Friends Club (PFC) was proud to support the event by providing a healthy fruit snack for all students. This initiative aligns with the Victorian Government Healthy Eating Advisory Service guidelines, which encourage schools to promote fresh, nutritious food options. You can read more about the guidelines here:

Thanks to the support of our local Ritchies IGA, fruit was generously supplied for the day. Don’t forget, if you shop at Ritchies, you can nominate Essex Heights Primary School as your chosen organisation through the Ritchies Community Benefit Program to help support future initiatives. On the day, students were offered a choice of fresh apples, bananas, and nectarines, all served by our wonderful PFC volunteers.
A big thank you to Elima Pozenel, Daniela Rende, Borris Zhao, Sophie Beecroft and Kim Doan for helping make the day possible. We also extend our appreciation to the school leadership team and Marita Steward for their coordination and support of the event.
If you’d like to get involved in future events and have your Working With Children Check registered with the school, we would love to hear from you. Please contact the PFC at pfc.ehps@gmail.com — many hands make light work, and the students absolutely love seeing their parents involved on campus!
Secondhand Uniform & Lost Property
Thank you to everyone who supported last Friday’s Secondhand Uniform Sale through donations and purchases. We are pleased to share that we raised over $1,400.
A special thank you to Rianna Wells and Sophie Beecroft for leading our first Secondhand Uniform stall of 2026, and to all our volunteers whose time and effort made the stall such a success.
Term 2 Secondhand Uniform Sale dates:
- Donation Day: Friday 12 June from 3:00pm to 3:45pm
- Sale Day: Friday 19 June from 3:00pm to 3:45pm
We are very grateful for all donations received. Please remember that proceeds from the sale support our school, and we kindly ask that only good quality, freshly washed uniforms from PSW or Spartan School World brands are donated.
Lost Property
Parents and carers are encouraged to check the four lost property boxes located at the Eucalyptus, Banksia and Violet buildings, as well as the Stadium foyer, to help reunite items with their owners.
Lost property can be checked before school (prior to 8:50am) or after school dismissal (from 3:30pm).
Term 2 PFC General Meeting
The EHPS community are welcome and invited to the next PFC General Meeting – Wednesday 22 April @ 7pm in person in the Staff Room at school.
