Principal's Message
To Strive, To Seek, To Care with HEART

Dear Parents and Friends,
It’s a rare moment in our history to see the Todd River flowing for five weeks straight. While the water has transformed our landscape, it’s been "business as usual" at the College, (until Tuesday when heavy falls at the catchment areas meant the entrance to the College was closed, due to the Charles Creek flowing past).
Week 6 reached a high note with our Performing Arts Festival. Proving that the "show must go on," our students pushed through early technical glitches with incredible school spirit. The result? Some of the best performances I’ve ever seen. The talent on display truly astounded our judges. A huge thank you to Darcy Davis, Miriam Nicholls, and our tech guru Rob Versteegh, along with the Creative Arts team of Michelle Fleming, Tracy Hurst, Peter Gilham and Rachel Moyle for bringing it all together.
Week 7 brought the focus to NAPLAN. Despite a nationwide technical delay on day one, our students and staff handled the pressure with grace. Outside of testing, we celebrated the infinite wonders of Pi Day! Thanks to Vicki Hutchinson and the Maths team for showing us that ratios can actually be fun.
At our recent Wellbeing Assembly, we focused on our HEART values through the lens of "looking after yourself and others." We talked about the courage it takes to put the phone away, the honesty of admitting when a load is too heavy, and the discipline of a good sleep routine. After all, you can’t pour from an empty cup.
We see these values in action every day:
In Culture: We capped off the week with Harmony Day, a vibrant sea of traditional dress that highlighted the beautiful multicultural fabric of our College.
As we move forward, let’s continue to live our motto: 'To Strive, To Seek, To Care with Heart'.
Warm regards,
Leslie Tilbrook
