Grade 5/6 Garden and Flower Show Excursion

Flower and Garden Show Excursion

On Thursday March 27th, the 5/6s got the chance to go to The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show in the city for the first time. Everyone was ecstatic to have the opportunity to go on the excursion. Once we had arrived, we all started exploring the grounds. Everyone was taking in the picturesque scenery.

In the middle of the showground, there was a huge historical building called the Royal Exhibition Building. Once we entered the mysterious structure, we were greeted with a giant dome on the ceiling. We walked around the building and found a giant art gallery and took in all of the beautiful art and flower arrangements.

We were all very lucky to have the choice of Bok Choy and Lemongrass to pot and take home with them. Along with that we got to go have one final scavenger hunt, which was exhilarating. Once the day had finally come to an end, everyone was exhausted and we headed back home. We had fun potting about and we hope to one day seed it again.
