Weekly TheirCare Highlights Term 1 Week 9 Science
Here is our land, here is our sky, here are our children and here am I. We stand together hand in hand to appreciate the Aboriginal People of this land.
This week our children from Lalor East PS and St John XXIII PS were able to engage in variety of indoor, outdoor and gym learning experiences. The focus for this week was science and making slime. Scientific activities help children develop critical thinking skills as they learn to analyse, observe and draw conclusions from observations. These are skills are then transferrable into different aspects of learning and life.
Beyond mere scientific words and actions, engaging in science instills a scientific mindset where children will continue to approach problem solving grounded in logic, evidence and continuous learning. This mindset then encourages children to explore, question and seek knowledge independently.
Reminder:
Monday 31 March – Lalor East holds PFD
Friday 4 April – Last Day of school and end of term 1.
Lalor East PS will finish at 1:45pm and St John XXIII will finish earlier at 1pm
Monday 7 April – Their Care Holiday Program start- service will be open from 7am till 6pm
Zore Lalor East Coordinator will be on annual leave from 7.4.25 till 11.4.25. Necha C will be a step up coordinator will be covering Zore shift together with Zara ( St Peter's PS Coordinator) and Kevin (Findon PS coordinator).
