As always, we love catching up with news from our former Collegians.

Congratulations to our Old Collegian, Thomas Molinaro (MOC 2016) and Monica Pisano who celebrated their Marriage at St Ignatius’ Catholic Church in Richmond last Saturday, 10th October! Their Marriage was blessed by Fr Harry Dyer OMI, our College Rector, and two of the groomsmen were our Old Collegians, Frederick Maroun and Joshua Spina. Both Frederick and Josh were from the Class of 2016.
Also present amongst the guests were Nicholas Morlin (MOC 2017), his wife Elisa, and their son, Enrico.
We wish Thomas and Monica all God’s Blessings on their Marriage!
Both of us and our MOCA Committee are always available to chat, or to assist our Old Boys in their times of need. In recent weeks, we have been blessed to support our Old Collegians who are experiencing illness in their families, as well as, Old Collegians who have experienced the deaths of loved ones. We seek to support one another by our prayers, friendship, and actions. Just within the past week, we have been contacted by two families of our Old Collegians, asking for our assistance with pastoral and practical help concerning the funeral, prayers, and pragmatic actions.
Our Mazenod Old Collegians Association sends its love and prayers to Joseph Verna (MOC2021) and to the Verna family on the recent death of Joseph’s Aunt, Ms Michelle Verna.
Michelle was the much loved and respected Principal of St Joseph’s Primary School, Springvale. We send our prayers to all the St Joseph’s School Community, and to all Michelle’s extended family and friends.
Eternal Rest grant unto Michelle, O Lord, and let Perpetual Light shine upon her. May Michelle’s Soul rest in peace, Amen.
Over the school holidays, Ciaran Ellwood (MOC 2026) and Xavier MacFarlane (Year 10) had the opportunity to perform in Wallace & Gromit: A Grand Day Out at the Melbourne Recital Centre.

Presented across two sold-out performances, the fully professional production gave both students the chance to perform alongside experienced professional musicians in a high-calibre setting.
They were joined by Mazenod Old Collegian Filip Fulco (MOC 2021) on piano, along with Mazenod teachers Mr Chris Lee (MOC 2002) and Mr George Melitsis.
This was a fantastic achievement for Ciaran and Xavier, and a great reflection of the talent and connections within the Mazenod Music community.
Join us in our efforts of raising $5,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation through the Tee Off For Leukaemia Golf Competition! The two-man Ambrose styled competition will take place on the 18th of October at Brighton Golf Club in partnership with Basecamp Podcast host, Brady Williams. You don't have to be the next Scotty Scheffler to join as we're welcoming all golfers to get involved with their mates, families and all others keen in joining. Registrations also include a minimum donation of $30 so there's no better time to wake those clubs up and go hit some balls!
We'd appreciate your support whether it's through registering for the competition or a generous donation to the cause.
