A Fabulous Trivia Night!

What a Night!
After again selling out in under a minute, the FPS trivia night was held this year at Thornbury Theatre on June 14th. 290 parents packed themselves into the theatre, and again raised the bar on dress-up outfits – the theme this year was 'Video Games' – and trivia knowledge. Costumes included multiple life-size Tetris teams, a Pac-Man table, and a highly original 'Duck Hunt' team which all triggered enormous nostalgia for all the 40+ year old parents in the room.
The Intro Video for the night – starring several FPS teachers in AI-adapted versions of popular movie trailers – was incredible, and kicked off a visually spectacular night (thanks in no small part to AV legends Todd Rogerson and Michael Pascoe).
After 'Kirby&ForgottenAnswers' won a tightly contested trivia night (see below for the final scores), it was over to FPS band North Side Hustle to lead a raucous dancefloor, and lead it they did! There would undoubtedly have been a lot of sore feet and heavy heads on Sunday morning!
The silent auction was also a spectacular success, breaking the record for an FPS trivia night auction and helping to raise a huge amount of money for the school. Most importantly though, it was a great chance for many parents (old and new) to meet and get to know each other better away from the chaos of school drop-off and pickup.
Everyone is feeling a lot of pressure to go bigger and better next year, so watch this space!
