The Library is open from 8.00am to 4.00pm each day, including recess and lunchtime for all students.

Welcome

Its been great to welcome so many Year 7 students into the Library and see their enthusiasm for being at secondary school.  Lots of borrowing and chatting about books as well as discovering new genres and titles to try.

Library Borrowing & Returns

Students can borrow up to 5 books at a time, for a 2 week duration.  Reminder emails, notices on Compass, and TEAMS messages are sent to students when books are overdue, prompting them to return or renew.  

We do not charge overdue fees, but long overdue books (months) will incur a replacement fee, and parents will be contacted via Compass 'events' regarding this.

Love Your Library

During February we celebrated 'Love Your Library' with displays and book selections.  

The annual 'Guess the number of lollies in the Jar' competition for Year 7 students also generated a lot of guesses.  The winner was Ellie (7A) who had the correct answer of 172 - well done and we hope you enjoy (share) your prize.

Lunchtime Activities

A small group of students have joined in our 'Mindful Monday' and 'Tinkering Thursday' activities where they can enjoy some quiet activities (as well as read) such as drawing/colouring, making bookmarks and paper/woolly sheep. Please join us each week and see what else we have to offer.

Please note: On Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday lunchtimes students are able to use their computers for school related work only.

Book Bites Book Club (Tuesday lunchtime for all students) members have also had fun lately sharing and talking about their current/favourite reads each week.  This term we have each selected a title from the 'Romance' genre and will share our 'reviews' during our last meeting for the term.  Great to see so many new faces and thank you to Zack and Chloe for providing home baked goodies for us too.
