Greek Excursion

The Year 8 Greek class have been studying Ancient Greece and on Tuesday, the 14th of October, they were given the privilege of attending the Greek Hellenic Museum, located in the historic Former Royal Mint Building. 

During their visit, students participated in the "Vital Vases Workshop". The Archaeology of Ancient Greek Ceramics program, where they were given a guided tour and the unique opportunity to handle authentic vases. Through this hands-on experience, students explored different pottery styles, decoded the stories depicted on vase paintings and discovered what ceramics reveal about life in Ancient Greece. 

The students were highly engaged throughout the session and thoroughly enjoyed the interactive activities and the chance to connect their classroom learning with real historical artifacts.
