The Class of 2025 has officially completed their final day of classes at Lalor Secondary College! It’s been a year filled with determination, growth, and unforgettable memories — and what better way to celebrate the end of their school journey than a day of fun and laughter at Funfields on Friday 17 October.
Students and staff enjoyed some sunshine, rides, and water attractions as they celebrated together one last time before exams begin. The day was a wonderful reflection of the unity and spirit that has defined this group throughout their time at the College.
Now, with celebrations behind them, our Year 12s turn their focus to the final stage of their secondary education: the VCE exams, beginning with English on Tuesday 28 October. I’d like to thanks the families and teachers who have supported throughout their time at the College and in the preparation for their final assessments.
The entire Lalor Secondary College community wishes the Class of 2025 the very best of luck in their exams and beyond. We couldn’t be prouder of how far they’ve come — and we can’t wait to see what their next chapter holds!
Similarly, the Year 11s are in their final week of Year 11 classes prior to their exams, that begin on Monday 10 November. It is crucial that all Year 11 students use their time in their final week of classes to identify where they need assistance and get that help from their teachers. Students studying Vocational Major are in the midst of finishing projects and will have their final Year 11 classes on Thursday 13 November. Please remember that for VCE students, Monday 3 November – Friday 7 November is a SWOTVAC period, so there will be no VCE classes; VM students only attend school on Thursday 6 November in that week, and attend their VET day.
Once the Year 11 exams are over, the class of 2026 will begin Year 12 with Orientation classes. These are essential to set students up for success, ensure they have a supported start to Year 12 and are able to begin their studies over the summer. To assist with that, all Year 12 VCE students for 2026 should purchase the English texts through the early purchase system. Orders close Friday 31 October through Campion. Please see Mr. Ladnjak’s post on Compass to students and parents about this to find out how to order your books.
Happy studying to all. This period may feel stressful, but it is short, so make the most of it and do your absolute best.
