It has been such a vibrant and eventful fortnight for our Middle School students!
Across Years 9 and 10, we have seen so many exciting learning opportunities and celebrations of student achievement.
Last week was languages week, a wonderful celebration of the diverse cultures within our school community. Our Year 9 students enjoyed excursions to the Werribee Zoo, complementing their learning about ecosystems and animal conservation, while others took part in a languages incursion that immersed them in cultural experiences and interactive language activities.
Our Year 10 students were recognised at the Progress Reports Awards Assembly, celebrating their hard work and growth throughout the semester. We also had outstanding student performances at the Music Spring Concert, showcasing the incredible talent within our college.
This week continues to be busy and exciting with Year 10 excursions to Williamstown and our Year 9 Advance students heading off to camp. These opportunities allow students to strengthen their independence, teamwork, and leadership skills beyond the classroom.
Looking ahead, in only three weeks our Year 10 students will begin their Semester 2 exams and will then begin their time as senior students during Year 11 Orientation Week, commencing Monday 24th November. It’s important that all Year 10 students attend school every day and work diligently on their final assessments as we finalise their VCE and VM programs for 2026.
Families are reminded that students entering Year 11 will be required to wear the formal senior uniform, as PE is not a subject at Year 11. Further information regarding uniform and booklist requirements will be shared in the coming weeks.
Finally, any students who wish to undertake a VET subject in 2026 must respond promptly to Ms. Sakellaris, our VET and VM Leader, and ensure that all required documentation is submitted. VET placements are managed externally, and spaces are now being finalised.
We are so proud of the engagement, effort, and enthusiasm shown by our students this term.
