A Message from the Principal
Dear Parents and Caregivers
As the academic year draws to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the year’s achievements and extend holiday wishes to everyone.
Staff Leaving
Next week, we will bid farewell to the following staff - Mrs Cynthia Villarosa, Miss Joreinel Abarca and Mrs Kylee Visser. I would like to thank these staff for their dedication and contribution to our College community.
Primary Learning Space Teachers
Please note the Primary Teacher placements for 2025. Parents and caregivers will be emailed next week, regarding their child’s Learning Space allocation.
Secondary PCG Teachers
Secondary PCG Teachers will be announced in due course.
Celebrating Success
I am proud of the numerous successes and achievements of our students this year.
They have not only excelled academically but also in sports, arts, and various
extracurricular activities. Most notably:
- Our ACC Athletics Team was placed first overall, winning all the shields. For this, they will progress to ‘I’ Division in 2025;
- Our Secondary Arts Production Nights met with ‘Sweet Success’ in their rendition of the story of Hansel and Gretel;
- Our SCC Choir participated in One Big Voice;
- The Years 7 and 9 Creative Edge Teams achieved great success, with the Year 7s winning the Creativity Award and the Year 9s winning the State Final;
- The showcasing of our Primary sports prowess in Inter-School Cross Country and various other sporting events.
These achievements, among others, are a reminder of the potential of our students.
Gratitude and Appreciation
Thank you again to our staff who work tirelessly in guiding and nurturing our students.
Thank you also to our parents, families and the broader college community – your involvement and support have been invaluable. Whether through volunteering, attending events or simply being there for our students, your contributions have enriched our college environment, and strengthened our bonds. Together, we create a vibrant, supportive and thriving learning community.
I take this opportunity to wish you and your families a wonderful holiday season, as we celebrate the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ this holy Christmas. Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year to everyone.
Kind regards,
Karen Prendergast
