For the Diary

Our 50th Anniversary School Fair will be an event not to miss, drawing on everything we have loved about LCS fairs in the past. So, pull out your diary and write down this date (which has been changed from previous correspondence)...

Friday, November 20, 2026.

The LCS fair has always been a highlight for many members of our community and to make this milestone event a success, we need your help!

We encourage our community members to volunteer their time and assist with oliebollen, logistics, classroom activities and stalls. Every bit helps and so we look forward to sharing in this event together and building memories that last! - LCS Twilight Fair Volunteer Registration – Fill out form

Handmade Market Stall Applications Open

We are also inviting members of our community who create handmade crafts, artwork, jewellery, gifts and other unique products to apply for a stall in our Handmade Market.

Uniforms at Midford

Launceston Christian School is partnering with Midford, Tasmania’s leading school uniform provider, to offer a more convenient and supported uniform purchasing experience for our community. From Friday 16 October, LCS uniforms will be available from Midford’s dedicated Launceston retail store at 132 Charles Street, Launceston, as well as through an online ordering platform.

What will this mean for families?

Through our partnership with Midford, families will have access to:

Professional fitting services from experienced uniform specialists
A dedicated retail store with expanded shopping hours
Online ordering, with options for home delivery or in-store collection
An established returns and exchange process
Support from a team with extensive experience providing uniforms to schools across Tasmania

Our team has been working closely with Midford to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible and that our uniforms continue to reflect the identity and standards of Launceston Christian School.

Social Media

Did you know that Launceston Christian School is on both Facebook and Instagram? We're frequently sharing what our students have been up to, celebrating their achievements and spotlighting the lesser-known elements of school life. It's a fun and joyful place specifically for #celebratinglcs

(See if you can find the Instagram reel that has more than 58,000 views...)

Families are invited to Kanamaluka / Tamar Discovery Day 2026 for a free day of discovery, learning and fun for all ages. Held at Seahorse World, Beauty Point, on Saturday 24 October 2026 from 10 am to 2 pm, this family-friendly event will feature engaging displays, special tours, in-water demonstrations and activities celebrating the estuary’s wildlife, habitats and heritage.

Kids go free at Seahorse World with a paying adult.

Have You Joined Our LCS Alumni Group?

Calling all current and previous students, parents, board members and employees of LCS!

We invite you to join our Alumni Facebook Group, a place to reminisce on the memories made since the school's inception in 1976.

LCS Archivist Louise Nash has been busy digitising school photos and records, organising and uploading them so that, in time, alumni will be able to access this treasure trove of memories plotting the school's progression, from 37 students and two teachers, to more than 750 students and 140 staff.

We would love for you to join the conversation on our Alumni Group, which is all about connecting through shared experiences, and maintaining a sense of belonging. This is for you! To join the group, search 'LCS Alumni' in Facebook Groups, and click join. Or click here: www.facebook.com/groups/launcestonchristianschoolalumni/
