GWR Senior Girls Basketball - Ballarat
On Thursday 13 August, our senior girls basketball team travelled to Ballarat to compete in the Greater Western Region Basketball Finals after qualifying at GD, undefeated. Our intention was to gain some valuable experience and to have a fun day of basketball and the dream of a potential Maccas stop on the way home. As it turned out, not only did we have fun, we were very competitive on the court. The games were fast and full on with high scoring and tough defence. We played some strong teams and unfortunately didn’t come out with any wins but there was strong competition in every game and we didn’t go down without a fight. Thanks to Mr Churchill for coaching, Sophie for scoring and Harvey for umpiring for us for the day. And an amazing job to the players Layla S, Edie J, Bella J, Scarlett D, Ayla E, Hana C and Meki C.

Inter School's Netball Competetion
Year 7 & 8
Our Year 7 and 8 girls took part in the school netball competition. The girls played four games throughout the day and, while they didn’t manage to come away with a win, they had a fantastic time getting out on court and giving it their best.
One of the highlights was seeing the girls have a go in a range of different positions, including some positions they wouldn’t normally play. It was a great opportunity for them to try something new.
Most importantly, the girls had plenty of fun, enjoyed the day and represented Baimbridge College with a great attitude. Well done girls!
Game results:
- Game 1: Loss – 1-10
- Game 2: Loss – 2-9
- Game 3: Loss – 1-12

Year 9 & 10
The Year 9 and 10 netball girls showed exceptional attitude, commitment and sportsmanship throughout the day. All nine girls represented themselves and their school with pride, showing respect towards their teammates, opponents, umpires and coaches.
Despite facing some tough games and challenging results, every girl continued to give 110% effort from the first whistle to the last. They encouraged one another, remained positive and never gave up. Their determination and commitment were fantastic to see.
