R U OK? Casual Clothes Day/ Colour Run

R U OK? Day is a national day of action that reminds us that a simple conversation can make a real difference. It encourages everyone to stay connected and check in with friends, family, classmates and colleagues—not just on R U OK? Day, but every day.
Checking in doesn’t require special skills. R U OK? recommends four simple steps:
- Ask R U OK?,
- Listen with an open mind,
- Encourage action by helping the person consider what might support them, and
Check in again later.
The most important thing is to genuinely listen and give someone the time and space to talk.
This term, our school recognised R U OK? Day with a casual clothes day, including plenty of yellow, to raise awareness and encourage conversations about wellbeing and looking out for one another. Our School Leaders celebrated the day and brought our school community together with a highly successful Colour Run on the oval during lunchtime.
Remember, you don’t need to be an expert to check in—sometimes simply asking “Are you OK?” can be the start of an important conversation.

Our Year 12 Leadership team organised a fun-filled Colour Run to raise awareness and funds for R U OK? Day. Held on the oval at lunchtime, students took on seven different stations, testing their climbing, weaving and crawling skills along the way.
We would like to say a big Thank You to Lou Hill, Miss Wright, Miss Hiscock, Mr Beattie, Mrs Colquhoun and all staff and students that helped support and particpate in the event!
