School Bus Program Update

Parents and carers who use the School Bus Program are advised that the Department of Education is replacing the current Student Travel Assistance Portal (STAP) with a new Student Travel System (STS).

There are no changes to School Bus Program eligibility or policies, and families will continue to be able to apply for travel assistance and request changes to existing arrangements through the new system.

Please note the following important dates:

• 21 September 2026: Term 4 travel offers expire. Please ensure your offer is accepted in STAP before this date.
• From 21 September: STAP will be unavailable while information is transferred to the new system.
• 5 October 2026: The new STS is expected to go live.

Parents and carers will receive an email directly from the Department with information about the new system, including how to log in and reset your password.
