Celebration Dinner 2026

A reminder that tickets for the Celebration Dinner must be purchased through the My School Connect app by Sunday, 23 August. If you require any assistance with the booking process, please contact the College directly.

Any students who have not yet completed their table allocations are asked to do so by Friday this week.

Finishing Strong

As our Year 12 students approach the conclusion of their schooling journey, it is important to remember that success is often built on consistently doing the little things well.

Maintaining high standards in areas such as attendance, punctuality and correct uniform demonstrates pride, responsibility and respect for our College community.

These routines may seem small, but they help students remain focused, organised and prepared during this busy and significant period of their lives. Finishing strong reflects the values and habits that will support them well beyond school, whether they move into further study, training or employment.

Toilet Facilities

Recently, there have been incidents of vandalism and misuse in the Senior Boys' Toilets, including damage to door panels and cisterns, as well as toilets being deliberately blocked. This issue has been addressed by the Heads of Year, and as a result, some toilet facilities have been temporarily closed.

We are fortunate to have excellent facilities at our College, and it is important that all students treat them with dignity, respect, and care. Damage to College property affects the entire community and diverts resources that could be better spent supporting student learning and wellbeing.

If students witness any damage or inappropriate behaviour, we encourage them to report it to a staff member immediately so that action can be taken straight away.

We also ask for the support of parents and carers in reinforcing this message at home. Conversations about respecting shared spaces, taking pride in our College environment and speaking up when something is wrong can make a significant difference.

CQU Cairns Open Day

Students are encouraged to take advantage of the upcoming Central Queensland University (CQU) Cairns Open Day on Thursday, 27 August from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm

Open Day is a great opportunity for students to explore study options, learn more about courses and pathways, meet university staff and get a feel for life at CQU.

College Fees and Levies - Term 3 2026

For Year 12 students, College fees and levies are issued over three terms rather than four. Payment for Term 3 fees and levies were due by Monday 10 August 2026.

In accordance with the 2026 College Fees & Levies Schedule, all school fees must be paid in full or be covered by an approved payment plan with the College.

Please note the following information from the 2026 College Fees and Levies Schedule regarding attendance at the Year 12 Celebration Dinner:

Impact of Non-payment of College Fees

Account holders not meeting the payment terms specified as a condition of enrolment, and without an approved payment plan in place, may find that invitations cannot be extended for their child to participate in extracurricular activities such as sporting trips or the Year 12 Celebration Dinner. To avoid this situation, it is crucial that account holders speak with us to make approved payment arrangements if the current 14 day terms are unachievable.
