What's been happening in Art?

We have begun our new unit of Sculpture for Term 3. The students experimented with Playdough to bring their sketches to life and the final products looked amazing! 

The students used the air dry clay for the first time to create their sculptures and we have left them for the week to dry before we begin painting them.  The students put so much effort into their sculpturing, ensuring that they used all of the clay techniques we have been using such as using the slip, scoring, coiling and how to make a slab. I am also very excited to be using our new paint - the kids are too! A bit shout out to Jacqui who has been a huge help during our very hands-on Art lessons.
