Understanding your child’s emotions

Understanding a child’s emotions is an important part of helping them feel safe, supported and connected-both at home and at school. When we’re able to understand what a child may be feeling and why, we are better able to respond with empathy, guide them through challenging moments and help them develop the skills to manage their emotions. For children, feeling understood builds confidence, strengthens relationships and creates a positive foundation for learning, participation and success.

Here are some informativ flyers from The Local about understanding your child's emotions.
