Little Anglers at Bridgewater PS

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Victorian Government for their incredible generosity through the Little Angler Kit initiative. The program provides Grade 5 students across Victoria with a free fishing kit, giving children the opportunity to get outdoors, connect with nature and discover the joys of fishing. Each kit includes a fishing rod, reel, tackle box and basic fishing equipment, along with resources to help students get started. 

We have been particularly fortunate at Bridgewater PS, with the VFA generously providing us with a few additional Little Angler Kits to support our River Detectives program. These extra kits will provide our students with even more opportunities to explore, investigate and learn about our local waterways through hands-on experiences.

A very special thank you to Chris from the VFA, who went above and beyond to help us secure these additional kits. His support has helped us extend the learning opportunities available through River Detectives and will allow our students to continue developing their understanding and appreciation of our local environment.

We are incredibly grateful for the Victorian Government’s support and generosity and look forward to seeing our students getting outdoors, getting curious and getting hooked on learning!
