Another OV Featured in The Mercury

David Newell (svc 1971-78) was featured in an article by Bridget Gates in the 12 July edition. The article focused on the transfer of ownership of a Hobart institution – The Coin & Stamp Place – from David and his wife Kim to new proprietors.

David’s parents opened the business in 1979, and David and Kim moved back from Sydney twenty six years ago to take it over.  The business initially focused on stamps, but over time expanded into coins, medals and medal framing. The business also expanded significantly courtesy of trade via the interne.
