"I thought Wonderland would be everything I always dreamed about… but everything here is upside down."

Alice to the Cheshire Cats – Alice in Wonderland JR.

Whilst this has been a short term, it has made up for it in terms of busyness. With two productions, a soiree, concert and instrumental examinations, the Broadley Performing Arts Centre has been buzzing with nerves and excitement!

Frozen JR.

Frozen JR., this year’s Middle Years Production, was exceptional and showcased the incredible talent amongst the students in Years 7 – 9. With sold-out shows, it was lovely to see families enjoying themselves, some dressed as their favourite characters. The humour and emotion of the show was communicated to the audiences and the popular songs soared through the rafters. Congratulations must also go to the highly skilled and dedicated production team.

Soiree Evening

Our second Soiree Evening for the year was enjoyed by all in attendance, featuring performances on violin, viola, cello, piano, guitar and drums. There were many Junior School students who took up the opportunity to perform, followed by some very keen Secondary School students.

Alice in Wonderland JR.

The whole of the Junior School, from Prep to Year 6 joined together to present the musical Alice in Wonderland JR.

The Year 6 students entertained all with their character work and clearly engaged the audience in the classic story. The finale featured all the rabbits, flowers, insects and guards filling the auditorium with movement and song, highlighting the College theme of Connection.

The term finished with the Senior Gala Concert, where the Year 12 musicians were acknowledged for their service to the school. A full report will feature in the next edition of The Vine.

A huge thank you to all students, staff members and our volunteers for a term showcasing such talent!

Make sure you keep the evening of Friday 10 October free and come along to enjoy the College’s Festival of the Arts. There will food on sale, artwork to view and music to enjoy from a variety of ensembles from across the College. The evening will finish with a performance by the Royal Australian Navy Band.
