Junior School

Alice in Wonderland JR.
Over two unforgettable evenings, our Junior School students transported audiences into the whimsical world of Alice in Wonderland JR.! From the moment Alice followed the White Rabbit to the final chorus, the stage came alive with colour, creativity, and the joy of storytelling. Our young performers impressed us all with their energy, confidence, and talent, giving families and friends a night to remember.
But beyond the costumes, songs, and curious characters, this story also stirred deeper reflections. Alice’s question, “Who am I?”, reminds us that we, too, search for identity. The Bible teaches that our true identity is found in Christ, who makes us new (2 Corinthians 5:17). Just as Alice longed to find the right path, we are reminded that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). These timeless truths shone through as our students brought the story to life on stage.
A very special thank you must go to Mr Jeffrey Clarke, whose passion, creativity, and countless hours of dedication made this production possible. His love for the Performing Arts was evident in every moment of the show. Of course, a production like this is never the work of just one person. We are so grateful to Ms Monika Kapusi and Mrs Caylin Shrivastav, who tirelessly supported Mr Clarke as Production Assistants, and to Mrs Jayne Coney, whose eye for detail shone through in the stunning costumes, lovingly prepared with the help of many parent volunteers. Mrs Merryn Burt played a vital role in sourcing and organising props and leading the backstage crew with care, while Mrs Jacqui Kelly’s artistic gifts were on display in both the painted sets and the imaginative makeup for the cast.
We also want to acknowledge the expertise of our lighting, sound, and technical teams, as well as Mrs Faye Anderson, who managed ticketing and Front of House with the assistance of Senior School ushers. Behind the scenes, our Maintenance Team worked hard to ensure everything ran smoothly, and we are truly thankful for their efforts. Finally, to our Junior School teachers and Learning Support Assistants, thank you for stepping in wherever needed and for supporting our students so wholeheartedly. To work alongside such a committed and gifted team is a privilege, and this production is a wonderful testament to what we can achieve together.
We could not be prouder of every student who participated, both on stage and behind the scenes. Together, we celebrated not only the creativity of our students but also the goodness of God, reflected in the joy and wonder of this production.

Staff News
We are delighted to share the joyful news of the safe arrival of baby Caden, born to Mr Gaiser and his wife Christine. This is a very special time for their family, and we rejoice with them in welcoming their precious little one into the world. On behalf of the College, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mr and Mrs Gaiser as they begin this exciting new chapter of parenthood. We pray God’s richest blessings over their home, that it may be filled with love, joy, and peace as they nurture and care for their new baby.
At the same time, we also take this opportunity to farewell Mrs Connelly, our much-loved Junior School PE teacher. Mrs Connelly has been a valued member of our staff, sharing her passion for sport and encouraging students to strive for their personal best. She will be greatly missed by both students and colleagues alike. We thank her sincerely for her dedication and service to the College, and we wish her God’s blessing as she steps into her new role and the opportunities that lie ahead.
2026 Class Placement
At the commencement of Term 4, plans will begin for the 2026 school year. Parents are now provided with an opportunity to communicate in writing to the Head of Junior School any specific information that could have a significant impact on their child’s class placement for 2026 (e.g. cousins, neighbours in the same level, etc.). As situations can change, requests made in previous years are not taken into consideration. Please understand that these requests are not guaranteed but rather considered in the full picture of student placements. Staffing for each year level is not yet confirmed, so specific requests for teachers will not be considered. All correspondence should be addressed to the Head of Junior School, marked confidential, by Friday 10 October to be considered.
As students return from a well-earned break in Term 4, they may wear summer or winter uniforms during the two-week transition period. Please ensure girls' summer dresses are at the correct length, with the hem to the bottom of the knee. It would be appreciated if parents could also use the holiday break to check hair length, earrings worn by girls and socks. Students are also required to wear their hats in Term 4. Please refer to pages 12-13 of the 2025 Student Diary for details of our Student Uniform Standards.
As Term 3 draws to a close, we pray that each of our families enjoys a restful and uplifting holiday. Some may be travelling afar, while others will delight in the peace of home, but wherever you spend this time, may you be assured of God’s nearness. His love surrounds you, His hand steadies you, and His care goes before you each day. We look forward to welcoming our students back, ready for the opportunities and celebrations that Term 4 will bring as we finish the 2025 school year together. May this holiday season bring you moments of joy, renewal, and precious time with those you hold dear.
The Lord watches over you; the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm; He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. Psalm 121:5-8
