Book Week
Penguins, Caterpillars, Anne of Green Gables, Vikings, and so many more have brought joy to our Resource Centre in the last few weeks. We truly had an amazing adventure connecting with wonderful books during Book Week!
Students from Years 3 - 6 enjoyed an exciting in-school performance, embarking on a Treasure Hunt through the world of stories, while our younger students created some fantastic spiders inspired by the book Spiro by Anna McGregor.
Our traditional Book Week Parade was an absolute delight, and I’m so grateful to all the parents who helped their children become their favourite book characters. After a joyful parade down Learning Street, we gathered in the LMC for our Book Week Chapel, beautifully led by Hayley G (11.15) and Isaac A (11.15).
They shared the heartwarming story “The Invisible String” by Patrice Karst, which reminded us how we are all connected—and then wrapped the entire room in string, giving us a wonderful, tangible reminder of those connections. What a fantastic week it was!
New Books
But that’s not the only exciting news in our beautiful haven of books! We’ve added lots of new titles to our shelves. Our senior wellbeing section now features a fresh collection of books on important topics—holidays are the perfect time to borrow one and spark meaningful conversations with your teen. Our younger readers haven’t been forgotten either; they’ll find new books about feelings, emotions, and following Jesus. We’ve also expanded our fiction shelves, with new series for quick reads and some rollicking adventures—just right for a lazy springtime afternoon.
