Kurnai College’s senior campus has continued to grow into 2026 with an increased cohort of students in the VCE, VCEVM, and VPC programs. Students have quickly oriented themselves into the timetabled classes and are engaged in their learning. We have already seen many excursions where students are involved in experiential learning, building teamwork, hearing from experts, and engaging in real world applications of learning.

We have seen high levels of attendance so far this year and this is a key expectation for all students as there is a direct correlation between high attendance and being successful in achieving positive outcomes. This message is reiterated throughout this newsletter and has been reinforced in assemblies. Making a positive start to the year can set up students for continued success and this is an opportunity to develop routines that will pay significant dividends later in the year.

Senior campus students are also enjoying the freedoms that come from being in a young adult environment and taking on the responsibilities that come from those freedoms. As our students mature our expectations of them increase and pleasingly we are seeing many step up to meet those expectations. An important aspect of the senior campus is continuing to support all students to meet the expectations of senior studies and a young adult environment in preparation for life beyond school.

We provide a range of supports for our students and if anyone is feeling they would like or need support we encourage them to please speak to an Advocate or one of the leaders mentioned below.
