Welcome to the Year of the Snake.

Chinese New Year is a major holiday in China and Chinese communities throughout the world. It is not only celebrated in China, as Vietnam, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore also celebrate this special occasion in the calendar.

We have been celebrating the Chinese New Year across the whole school. We enjoyed a dress-up day and participated in various cultural activities, including making lucky envelopes, creating snake spirals, practicing Chinese paper cutting, designing dragon masks, crafting scratch-art dragons, and making Chinese lanterns. We also came together to sing our New Year song.

Wishing everyone in the Black Rock community a joyful and prosperous 2025!
