We are so excited to be back into the swing of Visual Arts for 2025!
The students have begun our year with enthusiasm, kindness and respect for our room and materials.
The students begun the year, celebrating Chinese New Year and creating some amazing Year of the Snake artworks. The iconic colours of red and gold have been seen throughout the year levels and the attention to detail has been outstanding!
You may have seen some of the students work displayed in our new Art frames in the front hallway outside the office. We have been filling them up over the past few weeks with amazing and colourful artwork. It looks fantastic and we are excited to showcase our students work for parents, students and visitors. The art will be rotated every few weeks or as students complete pieces. A huge thank you to our wonderful parents, Adriana and Laura who helped mount the frames, we are so lucky to have your help.
The students have also been completing a Valentines Day inspired artwork in recent weeks. They are looking incredible and full of colour and eye-catching detail.
Some of those pieces can be found in our frames as well, and others have been put on display in the Art room. We have been loving seeing both the Year of the Snake and Valentines Day artworks being created and the way students are using materials, such as paint sticks, sharpies, Poscas and paint to create such wonderful pieces.
So, what's happening in the next few weeks?
All year levels will be focussing on the elements of a landscape artwork. Whilst completing various projects, the students will be learning about foreground, middle ground and background and how to use depth and perspective in their artwork. We look forward to seeing more creative and unique pieces from our wonderful BRPS artists.
Our school values of Respect, Kindness, Integrity and Aspiration will always be a focus throughout our lessons and hope to send home more Valiant Values via Compass for students showing these values.
