Spotlight on Vocational Education & Training (VET)

VET Highlights

This term, VET students have been buzzing as they start to wrap up the 2025 school year.

Our Year 10 Hospitality students have once again been catering for the Samaritan Group, providing a selection of savoury and sweet treats for our community. Students also had the opportunity to cater for and provide service at the Choral Showcase and Arti events.

Our graduating Certificate III Fitness students have also been mastering their coaching skills, by mentoring the Year 11 Certificate III Fitness students. This has motivated the Year 11 students to continue developing their skills in this area.

The Certificate II in Workplace Skills students held a Travel Expo this term, showcasing tourist destination in Queensland. During the event, they were able to polish their customer service skills to promote these beautiful destinations.

We also celebrate 12 of our Year 12 students who have successfully completed the Certificate IV in Justice Studies.  Congratulations to Zoe, Talitha, Ruby R, Ruby F, Petra, Mia, Lilly, Lauren, Fiona, Emma, Bethany and Alessia on this wonderful achievement. 

Important Information for Year 12s

As our Year 12 students near the end of the external exams it is important to remind them of the following deadlines for QTAC:

1.  ATAR Portal Registrations - All ATAR eligible Year 12 students should register now to be able to receive their ATAR on Thursday 18 December. Click on the link - QTAC ATAR Portal to register. Before registering, students will need the following information:

• Full name (as shown on QCAA Learning Account)
• Date of Birth (DD, MM, YYYY)
• LUI number
• Personal email address

2.  QTAC Key Dates:

• Monday, 8 December 2025 – Documentation Due date for December and January Offer Rounds
• Thursday, 18 December 2025 – Release of the 2025 ATAR results
• Tuesday, 23 December 2025 – December Offer Round
• Thursday, 15 January 2026 – January Offer Round
