OUR ANNUAL BLISS BALL DRIVE - YEAR 5/6 FUNDRAISER

Thank you so much for the support all families have given to our Year 5/6 students with their annual Bliss Ball Drive.  We are excited to have had 81 bags ordered this year and the kids are currently in the process of making them now.

The students will then package and distributing the orders to the classrooms by next Wednesday November 1, 2023. Money raised will go towards the Year 6 Graduation and Excursion as well as the Grade 6 jumpers for 2024.

A few extra bags will be for sale at the Production next Thursday night so if you missed out or would love another bag then make sure you grab one.

We want to acknowledge the help of a few of our parents that pitched in and assisted the kids in making the bliss balls.  Caz, thank you for all your work behind the scenes blitzing the biscuits and apricots ready for the kids to use, we couldn’t have even started if it wasn’t for the time you took out of your nights to stand in the kitchen.  Also, Elvira and Mickie for giving up time during your week to work alongside the kids in the kitchen and help them.  And Paula for offering to assist in the packaging and distribution next week.

A big thank you to Woolworths Prahran, Woolworths South Yarra and Coles Prahran for helping cover all our expenses, with their support all bags sold goes directly to the students fundraising fund.

Thank you to Megan Lim and the team (Michelle Hamilton, Mickie, Vannesa F, Paulina, JeniLee and Ka Wai Mak for looking after the Mega Cake Stall at the Grand Re-Opening/Referendum on October 14.  The following is a message from Megan Lim:

Thank you so much to everyone who helped with the cake stall. Whether you helped on the day, baked delicious treats, or just bought something to eat, your contributions to this community are so valued. We were able to raise a lot of money to continue making Windsor PS such a wonderful place for our children.

Thank you to Nick Krest for looking after the Grand Opening/Referendum BBQ on October 14, it ran seamlessly with your leadership.  The following is a message from Nick to thank those that supporting him on the day:

Sales on the day were about $6,000, a cracking effort!  It was beautiful to see all of us come together for the kids and the school. Some recognition for the stars of the day!

Scott, Craig, Glenn and Elliott – getting the BBQ started and keeping things under control, setting a great tempo for the day, even when the line was nearly 30 metres long!  Cool, calm and collected!

Lucy, Leona, Owen and Hector – staying super calm and keeping the flow going, with getting the snags and drinks out to customers like clockwork – didn’t miss a beat and always with a smile!

Tamara – redefining upselling with the kids jokes jar – selling 2 snags for $7, rounding it up to $10 with a joke from kids. MASSIVE success.

Lucy B – for her organisation and knowledge across cakes and BBQ and rounding up the kids to write their funniest jokes throughout the whole day.

Elvira – WPS’ secret chef in the kitchen, keeping the snags and onions coming when the BBQ decided to have a siesta at lunchtime. Lifesaver!

Courtney – Superstar of the day.  Putting everything together and making the day seem effortless and easy.  From drinks, to bread, to onions, to everything we all needed to keep the day flowing!

Thanks to Michelle Homberg for all you did to help on the day and to all the other parents that pitched in at different times throughout the day, including Judy, Katja and Warrick.  Thank you for a wonderful day!!
