Foundation to Year 2 News

At the end of last term, firefighters from Fire Rescue Victoria visited the Prep students. They brought their enormous fire truck into the school yard and allowed the students to climb aboard and check out all the buttons and controls. Each student had a turn of holding the huge water hose and sprayed the garden, what a thrill!

Importantly the firefighters talked about fire safety and what children and families can do to keep safe around fires and answered lots of our questions.

Last week we had another visit to Windsor PS from people in our local community with Jayde Cotic and the weather team at 10 News First coming to school. They brought the weather link van, so the F-2 students could have a go at seeing how TV is made. They each had a turn of ‘presenting’ to camera using the mic and our ‘interviews’ were aired on the news later that night!

A very big thank you to Louise (Ruby & Annie’s mum) for reaching out to Ch10 and arranging their visit and thank you to Katie (Remi’s mum) for taking the beautiful photos on the day!
