A wonderful way of fostering empathy in young children is through picture story books. At Windsor PS we use picture story books throughout F-6 to further the development of emotional intelligence, creating important classroom discussions and the opportunity to practice empathy, compassion, problem solving, resilience and all aspects of emotional intelligence.

Story Box Library offer a range of online stories that are used widely in classrooms at WPS. They recently offered an online event on how to foster wellbeing and strong resilience from a young age through storytelling.

Simply register using this link and watch a recording of the event: Resilience and Emotional Literacy in the Early Years
