Semester 1, Year 9 visual artists successfully completed their Sea Life ceramic unit with great flair and skill. This ever-popular unit tasks the students with celebrating the Great Barrier Reef by making a functional vessel. Well done, Year 9!

Semester 2, Year 9 visual artists recently visited the Cairns Aquarium. The purpose was to collect primary sources in the form of drawings and photos to inspire their design work for the ever-popular Sea Life Ceramics unit. Stay tuned for the finished works at the end of term. 

A group of Visual Arts students from Years 9-12 recently attended the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair to view the work of local and national First Nations artists who work in various disciplines. Students spoke to artists who shared insights into their practice.
