Peninsula U12 Rugby Union team
Jai Batten and Brax Way represented the under 12s Rugby Union Peninsula team at the State Championships. The team hadn't secured a win at the State Championships since 2019, but this year they broke that streak. In a thrilling match against Capricornia, they scored a try in the final seconds, leveling the score. Brax then kicked the winning conversion, giving Peninsula a 14-12 victory.
For his outstanding performance, Brax was honored with the Life Member award as Peninsula's player of the region.
