🌟P&C EXECUTIVE TEAM UPDATE - CASUAL VACANCY🌟

Join the Executive 

There is currently a casual vacancy for the position of Vice President on the P&C Executive Committee.

Renuka Awadalla, our current President, has also advised the school community of her intention to step down from the role of P&C President at the November AGM.

At the end of this year, Tianya Chen will be stepping down from her role as Band Treasurer, as her family prepares to move on from Roselea. We would like to thank Tianya for the time, commitment and support she has given to the Roselea Band Program during her time in the role.

If you are interested in any of these positions, or would simply like to find out more about what the roles involve, please reach out to any member of the Executive Committee/Band Executive Committee for an informal chat.

We’d love to hear from anyone within our school community who may be interested in getting involved and helping support our school and families.

President

• Chairing of P&C Association meetings
• Ensuring the P&C Association's objectives are met
• Ensuring that the P&C Association takes part in decision-making processes in the school
• Setting up lines of communication with the Principal and establishing a positive and constructive relationship with the school
• Establishing a positive relationship with the school
• Creating a welcoming environment and fostering fair participation
• Setting agendas
• Adherence to the constitution, by-laws, rules, policies and procedures
• Acting as the P&C Association's spokesperson
• Being a signatory on the P&C Association's bank accounts

Vice Presidents

• Backup chairperson
• Supporting the president, secretary and treasurer in their roles
• Shadowing the treasurer and secretary to act as a back-up
• Often assigned oversight of key operations, e.g. canteen, uniform shop, WWCC
• Signatory to P&C Association bank accounts.

P&C VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS

Suggested voluntary contribution

To recognise that older students have already benefited from previous fundraising initiatives, we suggest:

• $100 – Early Stage 1 & Stage 1 (Years K–2)
• $80 – Stage 2 (Years 3–4)

• $60 – Stage 3 (Years 5–6)

   

GRANTS UPDATE

Great News for Roselea P&C – $4,900 Volunteer Grant! 🎉

Here’s where applying for grants pays off!

Roselea Public School P&C is delighted to announce that we have been awarded $4,900 through the 2025–2026 Volunteer Grants Program, administered by the Department of Social Services, with assistance from the Office of Dr Andrew Charlton MP.

Following our successful Expression of Interest and grant application, these funds will be used to purchase eligible items that help our wonderful volunteers carry out activities that support and enrich the development and wellbeing of our students.

We’d love to hear your ideas! If you have suggestions for how these funds could be put to good use, please contact the P&C or join us at our next P&C meeting where we will vote on and approve spending the cash for this grant money.

Our P&C relies on the generosity and involvement of our school community, whether that’s volunteering at events, supporting our fundraisers or contributing through the Annual P&C Voluntary Contribution on Qkr! Every contribution helps us continue providing opportunities, resources and activities for our students.

Parent Representative on Principal Panel for 2027

Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for the Parent Representative on the selection panel for the appointment of Roselea Public School’s new Principal for 2027.

We’re pleased to announce that Fallon L was the successful candidate, receiving 54.2% of the votes.

Congratulations, Fallon! We look forward to having you represent the Roselea P&C community on the selection panel and thank you for volunteering your time to take on this important role.

We’d also like to sincerely thank Shriya G, Melissa P and Rose R for expressing their interest and putting themselves forward. We really appreciate your willingness to contribute to this important process and your commitment to our school community.

💚 Second-Hand Uniform Sale – Thank You! 💚

A huge THANK YOU to Emma G for giving up her time to organise and run our Second-Hand Uniform Sale this term! 👕💚

Thanks to Emma’s efforts and the wonderful support from our Roselea families, we raised an amazing $525! 🎉

The sale not only raises valuable funds for our school, but also gives our pre-loved uniforms a new home and helps families pick up uniforms at an affordable price.

Thank you, Emma, for making it happen, and thank you to everyone who supported the sale! Pre-loved uniforms can be dropped off to the office at any stage throughout the school year.

Roselea P&C would like to say a huge THANK YOU to our wonderful volunteers who helped make our last Play & Popsicles event for the year a great success! Not only for helping build a stronger sense of community, but also for supporting Year 6 with their fundraising efforts.

As we farewell our Principal, Mrs Kylie Bryant, Roselea P&C would like to express our sincere thanks for her leadership, dedication and commitment to Roselea Public School.

Kylie has been a wonderful supporter of the P&C and has always recognised the important role that parents, carers and volunteers play in our school community. We are incredibly grateful for the strong relationship she has fostered between the school and P&C, and for her willingness to work alongside us to help bring so many initiatives, events and improvements to life.

Most importantly, we thank Kylie for the care and commitment she has shown to our students and for her contribution to making Roselea the wonderful school community it is today.

On behalf of the P&C and our Roselea families, thank you, Kylie, for everything you have contributed to our school.

COMMUNITY EVENTS AGREEMENT

Events rely on community support to make them happen. We need at least 80% of required volunteer shifts filled 3 weeks prior to an event in order to keep it alive.

By sharing the load, we can continue to provide the fantastic events and experiences our school community enjoys.

Date: Monday 26 October at 7:30pm - Please note, no September meeting due to the school holidays. 

Location: Online TBC

All families are welcome to attend and hear about what is happening in our school community. In the event a quorum of 10 cannot be met, our meeting will be cancelled and rescheduled.
