What a fabulous start to Term 4. The students have all grown so much this year and we are so proud of each one of them!

Text Study:

This term, we have been focusing on fairy tales. Students have been exposed to various stories- Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. They have been learning to sequence pictures and retell the story.

TRANSITION TO GRADE 1:

Last Friday afternoon, the Prep students had their first visit to the grade 1/2 classrooms. Prep A visited 1/2A and Prep B visited 1/2B. We spent some time sharing a story with the 1/2 students and the Prep students asked any questions that they had. These transition sessions will continue for the rest of term 4 so that each Prep grade has visited each of the grade 1/2 classrooms.

This was very helpful for our students last week and we believe that this will help with the transition to grade 1 next year. The grade 1/2 students were fabulous at making our preps feel welcome. Thank you 1/2A and 1/2B! We look forward to meeting with 1/2C and 1/2D in our next session.
