Grade 5/6 Newsletter

The Grade 5/6 students kicked off an exciting week on Monday by proudly displaying their Cultural Day clothing - clothes that representated their cultural background and who they are. It was lovely to see how proudly they shared and displayed their special clothing and foods at the picnic too, along with siblings and families.
5A reading their paired fluency in their Cultural Day clothes.
Grade 6 were also lucky enough to have Jeff Stanley visit as part of our Systemic Knowledge unit about Civics and Citizenship. Jeff shared about his job as a barrister, how the Australian court system ensures we all have the right to fair representation and the differences between Civil and Criminal law. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and exciting insight with us Jeff!
The weeks excitement continued on Thursday with our Colour Fun Run. The rain disbursed and we had a great time getting slimed and covered in colour to raise money to improve our breakfast area.
And to top our week off with the big finale.... the Grade 5/6 students had an awesome time at the Harmony Day concert. It was lovely to see them sing and dance with such enthusiasm and effort. We are very proud of them all!
